The "I've Been Looking for You" Video Project

A collective portrait of who we are.

Hey friends,

When I was writing and recording my new EP, I've Been Looking for You, I kept coming back to the invisible threads that tie us together. The truth is, we all walk around carrying these massive, hidden inner worlds.  Our private griefs, complicated upbringings, quiet transformations, and the hilarious, high-maintenance quirks, these are the things that make us  human.

For the official music video for the title track, I don’t want it to just be a camera on my face. I want it to be a visual map of our community.

I am building a video mosaic of people holding up signs that declare their honest truths. It’s a way of saying:

I see you. You’re not alone. I’ve been looking for a community exactly like this.

Think of it as an exchange of glances across a crowded room—a moment where we get to look at one another without the armor, drop the highlight reels, and say, "Me too." Whether your sign is a heavy truth you rarely speak out loud, or a beautifully goofy habit that makes you smile, your presence adds a vital piece to this collective portrait.

I would be deeply honored if you would stand with me, share a piece of your story, and help me bring this song to life.

How to Participate:

  • Step 1: Find Your Truth. Look at the inspiration below. Find 1 or 2 descriptors that make you say, "Yep, that's me." (You can also write your own custom truth!)
  • Step 2: Make Your Sign. Grab a thick marker and a piece of cardboard or poster board. Write your phrase clearly and boldly.
  • Step 3: Film a Quick Video. Have someone film you—or set up your phone—holding your sign right in front of your chest.
    • Keep it short (3 to 6 seconds).
    • Look straight into the lens. Smile, stay serious, laugh—just be entirely you.
    • Please shoot horizontally (landscape mode). Crucial tip: Keep the sign held right in front of your chest and make sure your wording is centered so it doesn't get cropped out when we share this vertically on social media!
  • Step 4: Upload. Drop your video file into the form at the bottom of this page by August 15.

Submission Agreement & Release

By uploading and submitting your video, you agree to the following:

  • Use of Your Video: You grant Tara Craig permission to use your submitted video footage, likeness, and any written signs in the official music video for "I've Been Looking For You," as well as in promotional materials for the upcoming EP across social media and digital platforms.
  • Ownership & Protection: You retain ownership of your video. Your submission will only be used for this specific music video and its direct EP promotional campaign. Any other commercial use of your provided materials by us is strictly prohibited.
  • Gratitude: This is a collaborative, volunteer art project! While there is no financial compensation for submissions, we are incredibly grateful to weave your story into ours.
