One of my close friends growing up had moved to my town from Oregon. She said when they lived there her parents were totally Oregon hippies who made their own soap!!!
I've lived in Oregon for going on 4 years and I'm proud to say I've become a full-on soap-making, Oregon Hippie.

I don’t remember the last time I shaved my legs or armpits
I don’t use hair products
My deodorant is made of charcoal and coconut
But I don’t wear it much
I’m an Oregon hippie now
I tried to start a garden
I learned to roll a joint
I chop firewood to stay warm at night
I’m not vegan but I'm nearly paleo
I make my own soap with essential oils
I do yoga and meditate
I count gray whales as the migrate
I swing in a hammock under the stars
I forage for mushrooms in my own backyard
