From the recording FAWM 2018

The lyrics are based on the following Ojibway Song.

Sometimes I,
I go about pitying,
Myself,
While I am carried by the wind
Across the sky.
- Ojibway Song

I read this song several months ago and it has stayed with me and served as a powerful reminder.

The music and lyrics are pretty repetitive but I feel the repetition adds to the impact of the song. We get into repetitive cycles of self pity and self doubt all the while we are being carried by the wind across the sky.

Lyrics

Sometimes I,
I go about pitying,
Myself,

While I am carried by the wind
Across the sky.

Sometimes I,
I go about pitying,
Myself,
Why can't I stop these lies
I tell myself,
Why am I so filled with all these doubts,
Why do I go on pitying,
Myself

While I am carried by the wind
Across the sky.

Sometimes I,
I go about pitying,
Myself

While I am carried by the wind
Across the sky

I'm being carried
I'm being carried
I'm being carried
By the wind across the sky
Why can't I see that
I'm being carried
I'm being carried
by the wind across the sky
