We got married in June of last year. We had planned an intimate elopement with our close family and friends to the state of Washington where same sex marriage was already recognized. They day before our wedding we woke up to the news of the Supreme Court decision recognizing same sex marriage nationwide. This news compounded the joy we already had. The ceremony was an incredible celebration of not only our love but of a much larger victory.
